Kèr Bíhgi̊ (/bɪ̞/ /gi̘/ [need] [navy blue]) is a subtropical Town located in Marblehaven Dutchy, Tafogin Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Kèr Bíhgi̊ is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Bíhgi̊ was founded by Tsmtconm Hooley, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Bíhgi̊ has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 20°C (68°F). Kèr Bíhgi̊ receives an average of 133 cm/y (52 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Overview

Kèr Bíhgi̊ was founded durring the late 15th century in summer of the year 1391, by Tsmtconm Hooley. The establishment of Kèr Bíhgi̊ suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Bíhgi̊ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature stone brick construction with most buildings posessing towers, turrets, dormers, and wide wrap-around porches. An extreem emphasis on decorative features and emblishments can be seen even on the poorest of homes and makes even the most humble of structures seem a bit regal.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ is buildings folow an organic layout of broad cobblestone streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Kèr Bíhgi̊'s walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the town's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. The town's boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

The first thing you notice about Kèr Bíhgi̊ is the large sign at the entrance welcoming you to their humble town. Children come up to you and say hi, some asking if you’ve fought any big monsters, and others just zipping away after their hello. The adults are much the same. By the time you’ve made it a significant way into the town you’ve been invited to a tavern for a pint to drink in exchange for news of the world. You’ve also had no less than three older women give you a sweetroll and direct your attention to their still unmarried children. It would be creepy if it wasn't so sincere.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kèr Bíhgi̊.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ has a Hall of Slayers, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kèr Bíhgi̊'s public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Kèr Bíhgi̊ has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Kèr Bíhgi̊'s locals are divided into several castes. They may be organized by social role, by imputed nobility of birth, by ethnic origins, or any other dividing principle, but they cannot imagine any other way of organizing themselves. A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Kèr Bíhgi̊'s garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is short in Kèr Bíhgi̊.

The Beetle, Giant Stag near Kèr Bíhgi̊ are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Kèr Bíhgi̊'s citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 3 via speaking in tongues.

Economy

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century a local hero by the name of killed a tyrannical who had controlled Kèr Bíhgi̊ for years. Kèr Bíhgi̊ created a local delicacy in 's honor which is served at festivals.
